Bug reports are the most useful thing you can send. A broken tool stays broken until somebody mentions it.

Report a bug or request a tool

Use the Report an issue button in the site header on any page. It opens a short form and sends the report straight to our issue tracker — no account needed.

What helps most:

  • Which tool you were using, and what you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • Roughly how big the file was, and its format
  • Your browser and whether you were on a phone or a computer

Please do not paste personal information into the form. It sends the page path, your browser's user-agent and the time so the problem can be located — see the privacy policy for the full list.

Removing a shared GIF

If you shared a GIF and want it taken down, send the link using the same Report an issue form with "removal request" in the subject, and it will be deleted.

Privacy questions

Questions about what the site collects, or a request relating to data protection rights, can go through the same form. The privacy policy answers most of them already — in particular, files you edit are not uploaded, so there is usually nothing held to request.

Response times

GifGadgets is maintained by one person alongside a full-time job. Reports are read, but a reply is not guaranteed and fixes arrive when time allows. Reports that identify a reproducible bug get priority, because those are the ones that can actually be acted on.
