This source cannot play in your browser. You can still try exporting it.
How to use Mute Video
- Choose a file from your device or drag it onto the upload area.
- MP4, MOV and WebM are accepted. Video is copied without re-encoding into MP4 or WebM; incompatible codecs produce a clear error.
- Export, preview the result, and download your file.
Files stay on your device. The processing engine downloads on first use (about 31 MB). Processing speed and available memory depend on your device. Keep this tab open while exporting; cancel at any time to stop processing.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the audio really removed?
- Yes. Every audio track is excluded from the exported file, rather than just turning down playback volume.
- Will muting change video quality?
- No. The video stream is copied without re-encoding. MP4 and MOV inputs export as MP4; WebM inputs export as WebM. Codecs that cannot be copied to those containers are not supported.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. Processing happens on your device. A roughly 31 MB processing engine downloads on first use and can be cached by your browser.
- What are the size and browser limits?
- Use a recent browser with WebAssembly and a file up to 100 MB. Large or long videos may exceed device memory; shorter clips work best. MP4, MOV and WebM codec support varies, and some sources cannot play in the preview even when they can be processed.
