How to use Combine GIFs
- Choose an animated GIF from your device.
- Choose 2–20 GIFs, use the order buttons, then set the canvas, playback speed and loop behavior.
- Select Apply and preview, then download the result.
Frames are processed one at a time, so long GIFs are fine. Very large frame dimensions can still exceed the local memory limit, and Reverse keeps every frame in memory at once; resize or shorten the source if needed.
Frames are re-encoded. File size may change. If a composed frame exceeds the GIF color limit, its colors are reduced; the result reports when that happens.
Frequently asked questions
- How many GIFs can I join at once?
- Between 2 and 20 files, up to 100 MB in total rather than 100 MB each. Frames are joined one at a time, so long GIFs are fine; very large frame or canvas dimensions can still exceed the browser memory budget, and the tool says so instead of failing silently.
- What order do they play in?
- The order you selected them, which is listed in the settings panel so you can confirm it before applying.
- What if my GIFs are different sizes?
- Each one is fitted to the canvas dimensions you choose using the fit option, so mismatched inputs still line up instead of jumping between sizes.
- Can each GIF keep its own speed?
- No. One speed multiplier applies to the whole combined animation. Adjust an individual GIF with the Change GIF Speed tool first, then combine.
- Is my GIF uploaded to a server?
- No. All of the GIFs are combined in your browser.
